January 30 - Extension
Year 8 - As we discussed in class today, the deadline for the Design has been extended.
The new deadline is Thursday, February 5 at the end of class. As agreed, if you haven't finished by then, you will attend the deadline detention on Friday to finish.

Year 8 - It all begins with a story
This week we need to finish our storyboard.
Check out this great tutorial showing you how to create a storyboard using Microsoft Word.

As I mentioned you need 3 possible images for every frame. It seems like a lot, but it really isn't. When you are searching for your image online you will come across pages and pages of possibilities. You are naturally scanning for the "right" image and are mentally accepting and rejecting images.
However, you need to JUSTIFY your choice.
My suggestion is to make 3 columns for images (Column A, B, C). Keep all of the images that you will actually use in the same column so it will be easier for you and someone looking at your storyboard to actually visualize your story. Look at the example below.

Let's begin writing our scripts. You are going to create a digital story based on this theme: my life in Portugal. The first thing to do is to write a script.

Year 8 - Time's Up - Investigations are due today at the end of class.
For those who have finished - complete the PhotoStory Tutorial, then create a practice digital story. After you have finished, decide which video hosting service you will use: PhotoBucket, Tiny Pic, or Google Video and upload your video to that server. Next, obtain the html code and embed (insert) your video into your blog.
Way to go Year 8 - You did it!!!!

Year 8 here are this week's tasks:
1) Make sure you have your 10 questions answered.
2) Complete tutorial
3) Create a photostory with a maximum of 15 images
4) Choose a video-host (Google Videos, TinyPic, PhotoBucket) and open an account.
5) Upload your photostory to the video-host
6) Embed your video into your blog
Wow! That's a lot of Computer Technology for 2 days. Great job Year 8!
